Grand Canyon National Park, North Rim
Seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, lit by a bright moon, will be an everlasting memory for myself. By visiting the North Rim versus the South, we were able to enjoy the views without being elbow to elbow with other people. The lodge at the North Rim is a majestic one to say the least, with a spacious viewing room and outdoor patio full of rocking chairs, perched at the canyons edge. The following photos were taken from the Walhalla Overlook at Cape Royal. The drive to Cape Royal was about an hour from the lodge but the views of the Canyon and the Colorado River were well worth the drive.
